I directly involve my patients and their family members in decisions related to their medical care. I like to take the extra time to educate my patients on their neurological diagnoses, medications, and their treatment plan and give them information in a manner that is easy to understand and allows them time to ask questions. I try to be straightforward with my patients and build a relationship that allows them to feel comfortable. My hope is when patients leave their visit with me, they have a better understanding of their neurological health and have felt their voice was heard.
