Neuroscience Group Adds 2 New Associate Practitioners NEENAH, WI—(October 3, 2006) Laura Tucker, APNP and Karla Sagorac, APNP have joined the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin as Associate Practitioners. Tucker is joining the neurosurgical team of Dr. Philip Yazbak and Diane Vanderlin, APNP. Sagorac will be working with neurologist Dr. Susan Hibbs. Steven Price, MD, president and chairman of the board made the announcement for the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin, with Tucker and Sagorac Munson assuming their new responsibilities as of October 2, 2006. The Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin now has sixteen providers who are improving patient care and access to care for the communities in NE Wisconsin These. physicians and associate practitioners provide a wide spectrum of neurological and neurosurgical services as part of integrated neuroscience center care. Linking physician and associate practitioner services together as a team improves the delivery of patient care, communication and patient education. These services include surgical procedures for spine, brain and peripheral nervous system disorders, as well as care for patients with serious health care concerns like epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, headaches, non-surgical back and neck pain and multiple sclerosis. The Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin neurosurgeons cover trauma call in hospitals from Green Bay to Oshkosh. Before joining the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin, Tucker served as a nurse practitioner with Dr. John Campbell, Affinity Medical Group. Tucker has previously been recognized with the Florence Nightingale Award for excellence in practice. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from UW Oshkosh in 1975, a Masters of Science in Nursing, UW Oshkosh, 1980. Tucker received her nurse practitioner certification in 2005. Tucker noted, “The Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin is recognized as a leader in neurological and neurosurgical care in Northeast Wisconsin. As a clinical partner with Dr. Yazbak and Nurse Practitioner, Diane Vanderlin, my practice will be focused on providing high-quality neurosurgical care. I am pleased to be joining a practice that is so focused on providing the highest level of care to those in our community who need help with disorders of the spine, brain and nervous system.” Before joining the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin, Sagorac worked at Theda Clark Medical Center in the emergency room. Sagorac will work with Dr. Susan Hibbs to provide both in-patient and in-clinic care of people with neurological concerns. Sagorac has a special interest in helping families to cope with the long-term effects of neurological illness or injury. Sagorac, along with Dr. Susan Hibbs, specialize in providing care to patient with multiple sclerosis.
