Neuroscience Group Names New Imaging and Special Procedures Manager

NEENAH, WI—(Sept. 21, 2007) Connie Schend, RTR has been named Imaging and Special Procedures Manager for the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin. The announcement was made by Philip A. Yazbak, MD, FACS, president and chairman of the board of the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin, with Schend assuming her new responsibilities as of August 1, 2007.

The Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin provides a wide spectrum of neurological and neurosurgical services throughout NE Wisconsin. These services include surgical procedures for spine, brain and peripheral nervous system disorders, as well as care for patients with serious health care concerns like epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, headaches, non-surgical back and neck pain and multiple sclerosis.

Dr. Yazbak, commented, “ As manager for imaging and special procedures, Connie Schend will coordinate the diagnostic testing and interventional pain management services at the Neuroscience Center. My physician colleagues and I are confident that jointly locating the imaging and pain management services within our clinic will improve patient access to these services.”

Before joining the Neuroscience Group of NE Wisconsin, Schend served as Manager of Radiology at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, WI.. Schend is a graduate from the Theda Clark School of Radiology and is a registered radiology technologist.

Margie Weiss, PhD, Neuroscience Group CEO/Community Health Advocate noted, “As the Neuroscience Group transitions to the Neuroscience Center in early 2008, we welcome Connie’s imaging and leadership skills. She will be an integral part of developing service delivery standards in imaging and special procedures. She will help us to refine and develop new services, such as scoliosis screening ambulatory diagnostic testing programs which will augment our ability to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for our patients.”
